Recipe: Cheddar Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Pie
This savory, sinful dish makes a great snack for the "big game", an
alternative to your standard nachos, or even a breakfast side dish to serve with
eggs. The use of bacon seasoning eliminates the time-consuming step of frying
1 Lb. (approx. 3 cups) frozen tater tots
1 Tbls. Savory
Bacon Popcorn Seasoning
non-stick cooking spray
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup prepared
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing or
1 Tbls. chive flakes
~ Place the frozen tots in a gallon-size plastic bag. Sprinkle about half of the
Seasoning into the bag. Hold the bag closed and shake to mix. Sprinkle the
Seasoning into the bag and shake to mix.
~ Bake the tater tots per the package directions. When done, change the oven
temperature to 400 degrees.
~ Spray non-stick cooking spray evenly into a 9" pie plate. Dump the cooked tots
into the pie plate and lightly press them into the dish. Sprinkle the cheese
evenly over the tots.
~ Bake tots until the cheese has fully melted, approx. 5 minutes.
~ Drizzle the Ranch Dressing over the tots and sprinkle with chives.
