Dried mushrooms are one of my favorite gourmet convenience
items! This Steak Blend is a delicious combination of mild and wild flavored
mushrooms: Oyster, Blazei, King Oyster and Porcini. The mushroom harmony
enhances the flavor and presentation of any steak. Simply rehydrate and saute in
butter before spooning them atop your favorite grilled steak. I love them in
Beef Stroganoff and found that they are also delicious added to rice pilaf,
stuffing, and casseroles, providing a savory, earthy influence.
Net Weight: 0.75 ounces / 21 grams in a resealable clamshell package.
Ingredients: dried mushrooms.
Cold Water Rehydration Directions (preferred for best flavor): Place dried
mushrooms in a bowl. Cover with cold water. Allow to rest for at least 2 hours,
until soft and pliable.
Hot Water Rehydration Directions (fastest method): Place dried mushrooms in
a bowl. Cover with boiling water. Allow to rest for 30 minutes, or until soft
Suggestion: If your recipe calls for water, use the water you rehydrated the
mushrooms in for extra mushroom flavor! If desired, you can cut off any tough,
thick stems and just use the mushroom caps.
