I wanted to offer this product to our customers simply
because it's one of those awesome foods that not many people know about - but
should! I discovered it in Ohio Amish Country, where every restaurant has a jar
on each table, right next to the ketchup. Most people slather it onto white
bread, which is probably my favorite way to eat it, but it's also great on
toast, bagels, waffles, ice cream, apples, celery, and bananas. The sweet,
peanut buttery marshmallow goo is also referred to as "schmier" and, according
to the label, is an authentic spread traditionally served at Amish weddings. I
never knew that, as I've never been to an Amish wedding, but that just shows how
truly decadent and special this stuff is.
