Gelatin Mix, Cherry Flavored, 1 Pound Bulk Bag
Gelatin mix is a favorite convenience pantry
staple in our house. We use it to make quick desserts, including parfaits, trifles, and fruit salads.
Whip gelatin mix in sugar cookie dough, frosting, and icing for extra flavor and
color. Make frosted grapes, meringue cookies, fruit-flavored roll-ups, and
marshmallows with it, too!

Yield: 1 pound makes approx. (21.3) 1/2 cup servings of prepared red cherry gelatin dessert.
Directions to make (4) 1/2 cup servings: Dissolve 3 oz. (a heaping 1/3 cup) gelatin mix in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup ice water. Chill until set.
Ingredients: fruit granulated sugar, cane sugar, gelatin blend (gelatin, fumaric acid, sodium citrate, maltodextrin, contains 2% or less of potassium sorbate (preservative), artificial flavoring, red 40, salt, sugar, dimethylpolysiloxane, blue 1). Packaged in a facility that also packages peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, milk, egg, fish, crustaceans shellfish and wheat ingredients.

Alcohol imbibed cups of red fruity flavored gelatin. Easy to serve at a party and packs a punch!
1 pound cherry gelatin mix
2 1/3 cups boiling water OR fruit juice
2 1/3 cups well-chilled liquor (see Notes, below)
~ In a large bowl or pitcher, stir together gelatin mix and boiling water until gelatin has dissolved.
~ Stir in chilled liquor.
~ Pour mixture into 2 oz. plastic cups or wax-lined paper bathroom cups (Dixie cups).
~ Place cups on a baking pan for easy transport.
~ Chill until set, about 1 hour.
Notes: Chill bottle in the freezer for 1 hour before preparing shots. Traditionally, vodka is used, as it has the most neutral flavor. However, we prefer to use one of the 99 Schnapps varieties (99 Apples, 99 Bananas, 99 Blackberries, 99 Cherries, 99 Coconut, 99 Grapes, 99 Oranges, 99 Peaches, 99 Watermelon ); these boast a high proof and lots of flavor.
