They also taste great baked into breads and bagels. Shelf-stable; stores and travels well; great for emergency food supplies. Also called dried, flaked tomato.

Recipe: Roma Romano Pasta Sauce
Super fast and easy, yet sinful and savory. Tastes great over any pasta or ravioli, as well as grilled chicken breasts and shrimp.

2 Tbls. butter
2 Tbls. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1/2 cup Romano Cheese Powder
2 Tbls. tomato granules
1 tsp. granulated garlic OR garlic powder
1 tsp. Italian herb blend
salt and black pepper to taste

~ Heat a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; stir in flour; cook, stirring constantly, for 30 seconds.
~ Slowly whisk in milk and cook for 1 minute.
~ Whisk in Romano Powder until no lumps remain and then stir in remaining ingredients.
~ Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5-10 minutes.
