We prefer granulated garlic over garlic powder in our spice blends as it has a stronger flavor and doesn't tend to clump as much. Add it to seasonings and dry rubs for meat, poultry and seafood. Season steaks, burgers, potato dishes, soups, pasta, and steamed veggies with it. Sprinkle onto buttered Italian bread or breadsticks for a quick and easy garlic bread.

Recipe: Buffalo Blue Cheese Wings
No need for a dipping sauce - these wings boast a crunchy buffalo coating and a powdered blue cheese seasoning - no messy fingers, either!

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder OR granulated garlic
20 chicken wing segments
1 jar (≈ 1 cup) blue cheese powder

~ In a shallow dish, combine flour, buffalo wing sauce powder, salt, and garlic.
~ Coat chicken entirely in the flour mixture; refrigerate coated wings for 1 hour; coat chicken again with remaining flour mixture.
~ Place cheese powder into a medium-sized, round-bottom bowl; set aside.
~ Deep-fry chicken, 8 - 10 pieces at a time, in 375 degree oil for 13 minutes.
~ Drain chicken on a wire cooling rack for 30 seconds, then immediately toss fried chicken pieces in cheese powder.
~ Repeat with remaining chicken.
~ Serve hot wings with celery and carrot sticks on the side.


Recipe: Blue Cheese and Buttermilk Salad Dressing
Make this thick, rich, savory dressing any time, fast and easy! Tastes great as a dip with wings and veggies, too!

1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup buttermilk OR 3 Tbls. buttermilk powder plus 3/4 cup water
1/4 cup blue cheese powder
3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce OR 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce powder
1/2 tsp. ground mustard seed
1/2 tsp. garlic powder OR granulated garlic
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
salt (to taste)

~ Place all ingredients, except salt, in a blender or food processor; blend until smooth and creamy.
~ Salt to taste.
~ Chill at least 2 hours before serving for best flavor.


Recipe: Spicy Ranch Cracker Bombs

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 packet Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Mix
1 tsp. Ground Chili Pepper (see notes below)
1 tsp. onion powder OR granulated onion
1 tsp. garlic powder OR granulated garlic
5 cups oyster crackers

~ In a large bowl stir together oil, Ranch Dressing Mix, chili powder, onion, and garlic.
~ Add oyster crackers to bowl and toss to coat.
~ Spread crackers evenly on a baking sheet.
~ Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring gently halfway through cooking time.
~ Allow to cool completely before serving.
~ Store in an airtight container.

For mild crackers, use: Ancho or Chipotle
For medium spiced crackers, use: Cayenne or Jalapeno
For spicy crackers, use (with caution): Bhut Jolokia or Habanero
